Object extractor
Turn imported PDF vectors into editable Vellum entities.
The Object extractor (E) lifts geometry out of the underlying PDF and converts it into native Vellum entities you can edit, restyle, measure, and export.
- 1Activate
Open the + menu and choose Object extractor, or press
E. - 2Pick geometry
Click or marquee the imported vectors you want to capture.
- 3Extract
Vellum creates editable entities matching the source geometry. Adjust them like anything you drew.
Tip
Extraction is how you reuse existing CAD linework — extract a wall, then offset it, or extract a boundary and measure its area.
