Area tool

Measure enclosed areas to scale.

The Area tool (A) measures the area of a region you outline, using the current drawing scale.

  1. 1
    Activate

    Press A.

  2. 2
    Outline

    Click points around the boundary of the region.

  3. 3
    Close

    Close the path to read the enclosed area (and perimeter).

Tip

Already drew a closed polygon? Right-click it and choose Convert to area measurement instead of tracing again. See Right-click menu.
