Polygon tool
Draw closed multi-sided shapes.
The Polygon tool (G) draws a closed shape from a series of points.

Press
G, then click each vertex of the shape. - 2Close
Press
Enteror click the first point to close the polygon. The shape fills according to your current fill settings.
The polygon tool uses the same typed input as the polyline tool — type lengths and angles before each Enter instead of clicking every corner by eye.
Note
A polygon is always closed and can take a fill. Use a polyline if you want an open path.
Turn a polygon into an area measurement
Select a single closed polygon, right-click, and choose Convert to area measurement to add a scaled area label and hatch without redrawing. Details are on the right-click menu page.
