Text properties

Format text, callouts, and labels.

Text entities — from the Text tool and Callout tool — expose typography controls.

  • Font — ten bundled families in three groups. Standard: Arimo (the default; stands in for Arial and Helvetica), Tinos (Times New Roman), Cousine (Courier), Archivo Narrow (Arial Narrow). Drafting: osifont (ISO 3098 lettering) and Architects Daughter (hand lettering), neither with bold or italic. General: Inter, Barlow, IBM Plex Mono, and Noto Sans, which also draws any character another font lacks. Licenses: Open-source licenses.
  • Size — text height.
  • Alignment — left, center, or right.
  • Color — text color.
Note

Vellum renders text with real font metrics, so it stays crisp at any zoom and exports cleanly.
