Views: page, scroll & grid

Look at one sheet, scroll the whole set, or see every sheet at once.

Pick the view that fits what you're doing. Switch between them any time from the bottom bar; your markups are the same in every view.

Page view

One sheet at a time — the familiar plan-set experience. Flip through with the page controls, the arrow keys, or the preview strip.

Scroll view

  • The sheets stack vertically so you can scroll through the whole set like a long document — general notes, specs or a detail series without stopping at every page break.
  • The sheet nearest the middle of the window is the current page: the page number, the Properties panel and the Annotations pane follow it as you scroll.
  • Every tool works on the sheet under the cursor, so you can draw across the set without switching pages first.

Grid view

  • Every sheet is laid out as a tile so you can see the entire set at once. In a 200-sheet set this is the fastest way to find the one you want.
  • Click a tile and Vellum frames that sheet for you.
  • Zoom into a tile with the wheel or the zoom controls and it becomes live — markups, text selection and tools — as soon as it is large enough on screen. Zoom back out to return to the overview.

Switching views

The view buttons sit in the bottom bar next to the zoom controls: Single page, Continuous scroll and Grid overview, followed by the split screen controls. In a narrow window they fold into one button showing the current view; click it to open the same buttons as a vertical menu.

Views are per pane

With split screen open, each pane keeps its own view, page and zoom, and the buttons act on the active pane.
