Split screen
Two panes on one document, each with its own view, page and zoom.
Keep the plan on the left and the detail it references on the right. Each pane has its own view, page and zoom, and markups you place in one pane appear in the other immediately.
- 1Open the split
In the bottom bar, choose Split vertically (side by side) or Split horizontally (stacked). One view closes it again.
- 2Pick the active pane
Click in a pane to make it active — it gets a blue outline. The page controls, the view buttons, the zoom field and the Properties panel all act on the active pane.
- 3Set each pane up
Give each pane its own view, page and zoom. One pane can sit in grid view while the other reads a sheet at 200%.
- 4Resize
Drag the divider between the panes.
- 5Lock the views together
Click the lock that appears while split to sync the panes: they share page and camera, so panning or zooming one moves the other. Click it again to unlock.
Markups, comment pins, highlights and collaborators' cursors show in both panes; you can draw in either one.
